Springtime Spritz

If you haven’t figured it out by now, spritzes are pretty consistently my lazy, go-to drink. They are simple to make, they are refreshing, and they are easy on the eyes. I LOVE A PRETTY DRINK. And yes…I love a floral drink. JUST FILL MY COCKTAIL WITH FLOWERS, MMKAY?

Especially, in the spring.

I also love an excuse to put flower crowns on my dogs. And will literally use any excuse to do so. Also of note: they are reclining on our new Secret Chicken Garden throw pillows from #shopDWC.

But I digress.

Where was I? Oh yes. Spritzes.

SPRINGTIME SPRITZ

Makes 1 serving.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz. Campari

  • 1 oz. elderflower liqueur

  • 3 drops lavender bitters

  • 4 oz. sparkling rosé

  • 2 oz. or to top sparkling water

  • Garnish with blood orange (or regular orange) slices and edible flowers

To make: Fill a large wine glass with ice and place orange slices and a variety of edible, organic blooms amongst the ice. FILL THAT GLASS WITH FLOWERS, PEOPLE. Add Campari, elderflower liqueur, bitters, sparkling rosé, then top with sparkling water. Garnish with edible blooms. Stir thoroughly and enjoy with your dogs while they recline in the garden like royalty in their floral crowns.
